Assessment
Assessment occurs at different intervals during the course, for example:
Formative assessments - quiz questions during the lessons to test students understanding of the
topic being discussed, a badge is earned for each correct answer. Students also have the option to
click on the “Replay” button to replay the question.
Additionally, some lessons include activities which can be printed and completed at the end of the
lesson, and lesson plans also include suggested discussion items that teachers / home school
facilitators can use to engage students and help them to reflect on what they have learnt during that
lesson, or to be explored further after the lesson.
Teachers / Facilitators can also use observation, for example during keyboard exercises.
Summative assessment – include lesson quizzes, a module quiz at the end of each module, a final
course quiz that covers all modules in the course.
Quiz features include:
• Sound - Student can choose to listen to the question, or just read the question
• Feedback – Immediate feedback is provided for all incorrect answers
• Quiz review - Students can review their answers at the end of the quiz
• Topic Review - During quiz review, whilst checking a particular answer, students can click on
the “Topic review” button and see a brief preview of the topic related to that question
• Print results - Students can print their test results
Student projects
Some modules include suggested projects designed to help them work collaboratively on
projects, share ideas, and communicate effectively. For example, in Grades 4-6 Module 4
‘Computer Software, students can work in small groups on a project to create a leaflet on
"How to Write a Good Email" or "Internet Safety Tips."
