Term Definition

Hyperlink (Also: link, weblink) Text or media that when clicked, takes the user to another
specified location (URL)

Icon A small picture on a screen that you tap or click to open a program, file, or app

Infinite loop See: Loop (infinite)

Information Data put into a context that provides meaning

Information The study, use, and development of computer systems for storing, processing,
technology retrieving, and sending information

Input Data that is sent to a program to be processed

Input device A piece of hardware used to control, or send data to, a computer

Internet A giant worldwide network that connects millions of computers, allowing us to
visit websites, watch videos, and video call people far away

Keyboard A hardware device with buttons (keys) that you press to type letters, numbers,

and symbols into a computer

Loop (Count-controlled, condition-controlled, or infinite) Commands that
repeatedly run a defined section of code
