Term Definition

Program Another word for software; a set of coded instructions that makes a computer do
a specific job

Programming Writing code to create programs, apps, games, and instructions for robots

Procedure A named set of commands that can be called multiple times throughout
a program. This type of subroutine does not return a value.

Process A program, or part of a program, that is running on a computer

Program A set of ordered commands that can be run by a computer to complete a
task

Property A word or a phrase that can be used to describe an object such as its colour,
(attribute) size, or price (See Attribute)

Repetition Part of a program where one or more commands are run multiple times in
a loop

Robot A machine that can be programmed by a computer to carry out actions

automatically. Some robots can be controlled, and some can make their own
choices using sensors

Router A device that brings the internet from your provider into your home or classroom
and lets your wireless devices connect to it
